Andrew Carter currently resides in Los Angeles, California.  Television credits include roles on 2 Broke Girls (CBS); New Girl (Fox); Marvel's Agent Carter (ABC); Lopez (TVLAND); Criminal Minds (CBS); Fresh Off the Boat (ABC); Castle (ABC); Real Husbands of Hollywood (BET); Pretty Little Liars  (Freeform); The Young & the Restless (CBS); Sam & Cat (Nickelodeon); Chicago Fire (NBC); Boss (Starz).  Film credits include Off the Menu (Jay Silverman Productions) and Very Grave Robbers (Ballerhouse Productions).

​He is the co-creator of the webseries Welcome to Splitsville.

He is also an anchor for The Onion's weekly ONNCasts.  

He recently played to sold out crowds in Die Mommie Die!  at Celebration Theatre in Los Angeles.  Other LA theatre appearances include No Wake with Route 66 Theatre Company/VS. Theatre; LA Times Critic's Pick Around the World in 80 Days for Actor's Co-Op; and as the title role in Theatre@Boston Court's world premiere The Missing Pages of Lewis Carroll.  

A Chicago native, Andrew is an Associate Artist with TimeLine Theatre Company, where he played Robert Lyon in the Chicago premiere of The Pitmen Painters directed by BJ Jones (2012 Equity Jeff Award: Best Production.)  Also at TimeLine, he has been seen as David Frost in the critically acclaimed Chicago premiere of Frost/Nixon (dir. Louis Contey); the pivotal role of Irwin in the long-running hit The History Boys (dir. Nick Bowling – 2010 Equity Jeff Awards: Best Production, Best Ensemble); This Happy Breed (dir. Nick Bowling – 2004 Non-Equity Jeff Awards: Best Production, Best Ensemble); and Pravda (dir. Louis Contey.)

 Andrew appeared in The Internationalist, as part of Steppenwolf Theatre's Next Up festival of plays.  He also appeared in hit productions of Hot L Baltimore (dir. David Cromer); Romeo in Romeo & Juliet (dir. Randy White); Rose Rage (dir. Edward Hall); Short Shakespeare: A Midsummer Night’s Dream (dir. Gary Griffin); A Dublin Bloom (dir. Matt O’Brien); and It’s a Wonderful Life: Live at the Biograph! (dir. Marty Higgenbotham.)
